Between writing orders, unpacking cartons from Europe, the ongoing photography, and designing web pages to bring it all to your screen ... sometimes it feels as if we receive new goodies every day of the year! So we written this What's New & Hot! page. Here we'll display the new items as they arrive so you don't have to search through our ever-expanding pages looking for what you haven't seen before.

We've just added a Current Trends section to keep you abreast of the latest in colors and styles ... and a few hints as to the most complimentary coordinates of the season. 2009-2010 Winter/Spring styles feature three distinct color groups: Warm-toned Brown/Orange family, Jewel tones in the Amethyst/Purple range, and the ever-recurring Black & White theme.

Finally, we have our Bulletin Board of items for upcoming seasons ... the new designs we're commissioning and their hopeful - if everything goes according to plan - arrival dates.

Current Trends for 2009-2010 Winter-Spring
This season features three main color themes (Click the Squares!):
Warm tones in the
Brown-Tan-Gold-Orange-Arancio family		 Jewel Tones in the
Lilac-Purple-Amethyst range		 A resurgence of Neutrals in
Black-Grey-Ivory-White

Warm Tones: Tan-Brown-Gold-Orange-Arancio
Orange? Arancio? These may seem strange shades upon which to base a seasonal theme, but under-used as it may be, the Orange-Arancio family is truly one of the better, unique colors for menswear highlights and women's wear in general. It compliments well every hair shade other than platinum blonde and red. A member of the "warm" family, this color group may contrast poorly with those of a very cool skin tone. Blondes, redheads, and those of cool skin tone will be better served by the Jewel Tones of the Lilac-Purple-Amethyst range below. Color coordinates for the Warm Tone Tan-Brown-Gold-Orange-Arancio family are many and varied. The ultimate coordinate lies in the Brown spectrum including Dark and Medium as well as Chestnut, Mahogany, Khaki, Tan, Beige and Ecru. Forest, Pine, and many shades of Olive are also appropriately toned. In Summer, the contrast with White is simply spectacular. Black & White outfits, while having the ability to go with almost anything, play off the Orange-Arancio like the shimmering of a body of water. Gold jewelry is most appropriate as are shoes in warm toned colors.

Jewel Tones in the Lilac-Purple-Amethyst range 
   
Amethyst, Lilac and Purple: Because these shades are a meld of varying degrees of red, blue, and grey, coordination with basic clothing elements not only tends toward the blue-grey spectrum ... but it's actually rather easy to accomplish. These tones compliment every hair shade. Platinum and strawberry blondes, as well as those with black hair will do better with the stronger tones; brown brunettes and redheads may prefer the slightly more subdued. A note to the "Silver Fox" crowd: You're fine across the entire spectrum! As a "Jewel" Tone, this color group serves well those of almost all skin tones. Color coordinates for the Jewel Tone Lilac-Purple-Amethyst theme come from the basic shades used to create those colors. Charcoal, Flannel Grey, and Navy - in that order - are the best candidates. Black suits also work well. For warmer climates, Pearl Grey, Ecru, and Pink are good possibilities. When combining with other accent colors, Peacock Blue and Teal are one of our favorites. For men, a Pink tie with Amethyst pocket square and socks is simply stunning! Silver jewelry is most appropriate as are shoes in cooler colors.
