This newest of the Zimmerli state-of-the-art innovations is made from 100% natural bamboo. Created using the time-tested viscose process, Bamboo is a cooperative development of Greuter Jersey and the spinning mill SLG in close coordination with Zimmerli of Switzerland. It is based on the marvelous Swiss Bamboofil. Bamboo is a superb choice for garments requiring skin-friendly qualities and outstanding hygenic properties combined with a super-soft feel. Bamboo is very absorbent, has deodorizing properties, is stimulating to the circulation ... and is extremely costly to produce.

Cold washing will greatly extend any fine garment's longevity. Tumbling dry does nothing any good as the heat tends to brittle the fibres while the tumbling tries to abraid them. Bamboo should be line dried.

* In 2010, the Federal Trade Commission issued notice that textile products containing rayon fiber derived from bamboo must be labeled as rayon because they are made using the viscose process. Bamboofil is made using the viscose process and must be considered to be rayon.
