Cold (or warm if necessary in Summer) washing will greatly extend any fine garment's longevity. Tumbling dry does nothing any good as the heat tends to brittle the fibres while the tumbling tries to abraid them. Drying on 'Fluff' or 'No Heat' is possible without damage; air drying (line dry) is always preferred.
